About the event
Hailing from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, The Petty Things were formed by a group of seasoned musicians united by a deep respect for the music of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. In the wake of Petty’s passing, guitarist Myles Sharp, along with Todd Durbin (guitar), Scott Andersen (drums), Roberto Rodriguez (keyboards), and Seth Morgan (bass), came together to honor his legacy the only way they knew how — live, loud, and with heart. Rather than dressing in costumes or relying on digital enhancements, The Petty Things focus on substance over spectacle. There are no wigs, no backing tracks, no smoke and mirrors — just five musicians playing real instruments through real tube amps, channeling the spirit of Petty’s music with conviction and precision.
