Joe Hunter went from LSU Tiger Band to Tabby's Blues Box in Baton Rouge as a tuba and then electric bass man. Tabby Thomas, Chris Thomas King, Gatemouth Brown and Larry Garner are among his many other credits. In Nashville Joe has been named one of the "People of the Year" for his many years playing solo tuba in a tunnel under a rail yard. He's been featured in an NPR story/podcast and a short film. Joe has played with Bayou in 3 different acts since 1981
