“Sam Forshey is a blues guitarist based out of New Orleans, LA. Born and raised in West Virginia, Sam began playing guitar in church where he was introduced to the soulful sounds of gospel music at an early age. Sam’s father was a gospel guitar player who also shared a love for the blues.

About the event
“Sam Forshey is a blues guitarist based out of New Orleans, LA. Born and raised in West Virginia, Sam began playing guitar in church where he was introduced to the soulful sounds of gospel music at an early age. Sam’s father was a gospel guitar player who also shared a love for the blues. Through him, Sam learned of blues legends such as BB King, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells and Freddie King, all of which would become his greatest influences. Sam later spent eight years playing and writing music in Nashville, TN before moving to New Orleans in 2018. Sam can be heard playing his unique style of blues on Bourbon Street as well as other venues in the surrounding areas.”
