Join us for a spirit-filled Gospel Brunch in support of the Verneila McCathen Scholarship Ministry at Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church. Since its humble beginnings in 1998—starting with just pennies in a jar—our scholarship fund has grown into a powerful ministry dedicated to helping students pursue higher education. Through the vision of Pastor Harry L. Toussaint and the unwavering support of church members, families, and friends, countless young people have been blessed with financial assistance for college.
The scholarship was renamed in 2004 to honor the late Mrs. Verneila McCathen, a devoted champion of education and faithful supporter of the ministry. With your attendance and support at this event, we aim to continue building the scholarship fund and work toward our goal of one day awarding a full four-year scholarship…
