About the event

Chris LeBlanc has been a mainstay on the Louisiana music scene for over 20 years. He's recorded and released 4 CD's since 1995 on his own label Sweetroll Records and sold over 25,000 copies combined. Chris has been billed with such artist as; ZZ Top, Hank Williams Jr, Buddy Guy, Dr John, BB King, Vince Gill & Brett Michaels to name a few. One of Chris' most cherished musical moments was a few years back, spending 4 days and nights at Dockside Studio in Maurice, La recording what would be Louisiana music legend, Bobby Charles' last record entitled "Timeless". Chris was one of the guitar players on the session in the good company of fellow musicians Dr John, Sonny Landreth, Bobby Charles, Gerry McGee and Mickey Raphael. Recently, Chris has been steady writing and recording music in his private studio. His new music resonates a rich bluesy sound of the south and pays homage to some of his greatest influences. That sound is reminiscent of The Rolling Stones, Muddy Waters and every juke joint in between.

Luther Kent -- also sometimes known as Big Luther Kent or Amos Kent, and as Duke Royal -- has been a fixture on the New Orleans music scene since the mid-'60s. Born Kent Rowell in New Orleans in 1948, he came from a heavily musical household; his whole family played and sang music together, and his older brother was a member of Stark Whiteman & the Crowns, who often rehearsed in the Rowell home. In 1978, Kent joined with Charlie Brent, the former musical director for Wayne Cochran, forming a large New Orleans horn band christened Luther Kent & Trick Bag.
