About the event
Keyrus A.T.G (Against The Grain) of Jackson, Mississippi derives from a family of artists. His mother is a choir director, his father was a minister and lead guitarist, his grandfather was the pastor and renowned skilled guitarist, and Keyrus developed a phenomenal skill with singing and playing the drums. He was originally identified by his grandmother and church members at age 10 as a vocalist. They compared the strength and power of his voice to that of a lion. Keyrus soon became a soloist and united with a church band called “Related”. His voice is seductive and captures the attention of anyone in the room. It has a soothing antidote that emancipates your inner peace. Keyrus became adventurous and exhibited his voice for the world to appreciate. He performed at special events, parties, and clubs with his R&B band, “Heart and Soul,” featuring his Uncle Tony on the guitar. The young vocalist toured the U.S.A and Canada as the drummer for Jarekus Singleton’s band. He has a plethora of gifts writing music, recording soul music, and entertaining. Keyrus was inveigled by Bobby Womack, Sam Cooke, Anthony Hamilton, Al Green and many others. King Keyrus A.T.G. has vocals that are unique and a range that’s breath taking. To hear Keyrus is to be captivated by him, prepare to be hypnotized.
